Workcred proposes learning and employment records (LERs) can be a digital solution to some of the thorniest problems resumes present during recent Zócalo and Issues in Science and Technology co-event, “Is It Time to Throw Away Our Resumes?” The segment explored the potential and pitfalls of this new technology, which aspires to offer workers a fairer way to document and verify their knowledge and expertise.

Workcred highlights the partnerships and convenings that created a new framework for embedding industry certifications into degree programs in this podcast.

Workcred’s executive director, Roy Swift, highlighted the important work of Workcred and its impacts on the state of credentials during this Coffee With Joe interview. During the interview, Dr. Swift warns that the current credentialing system is fragmented and there are too many credentials that lead to nowhere.
