Leveraging Industry Credentials

Houston Community College (HCC) is creating a system-wide, shared responsibility model to leverage industry credentials of value to drive quality and equity for career and technical education programs. Workcred is assisting HCC in the development of criteria to define quality of credentials that are aligned to both programs of study and individual courses; evaluate certification test blueprints to determine alignment with individual courses or programs of study; create a process to be used to continually evaluate quality credentials; and provide guidance to ensure that the work is beneficial across multiple regions in the state of Texas.
